World of the Dead

You know what I really miss sometimes? The monoculture. You know, back when we were mostly all watching and listening to the same shit, lived in the same reality, held the same truths; when you could be talking to someone about a band or a song that wasn’t completely obscure to everyone else around you or about the latest episode of a tv show and not have to struggle in vain to also describe the show and then tell them which of the 86 streaming platforms it could possibly be found on (remember avoiding the internet like the plague so you wouldn’t catch spoilers?) Monoculture, man. And now we have a whole generation of humans growing up who never got to experience that.
