Body of a Flower: Spiderwasp

I’m here to gulp the sunsets down with my starving eyes, to dance carelessly in the falling rain, to saturate my lungs with the sweet golden air, to feel the wet grass under my running feet. I’m here to condole with the spurned insects and press my lips into your lips and give some animals needing one a home. I’m here to long for the flickering stars in the black desert sky. I’m here to wail and grieve and sing and hum sweet melodies to my daughter while she sleeps. And weep. I’m here to remember when we all walked on the moon together and had big unrealized dreams. I’m here to love fiercely and feel it all until this body I’m in breaks down.
